Hagen Arms, Echunga, Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia

The facade of this solid old pub is remarkably uncluttered compared to some in rural South Australia. The pub is named after the town's founder and has a commanding view down the main street. I remember taking shelter there one summer's afternoon long ago, when the heavens opened. The crest on the front seems to say "by appointment to HRH the Duke of Edinburgh - 1967". I have no idea why.
