Kingston on Murray - Christian Church, Riverland, South Australia
Kingston on Murray was once known as Thurk but luckily it was renamed in honour of the great reforming Premier of the 1890s. These days Kingston is bypassed by the highway and is consequently as serene a spot as you will find anywhere on the River Murray. If you like River Red gum trees, this is the place. Kingston is only a hamlet but boasts this pleasant example of a 1930's church.
