Stansbury - Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.

Stansbury, proclaimed in 1873, is another port on the eastern side of Yorke Peninsula which has reinvented itself as a holiday destination in modern times. In between it boasted lime quarries which were important in establishing a cement industry in South Australia. The town stands on Oyster Bay. Its excellent foreshore, stretching for along way around the bay, along with its pleasing streetscapes, trees and good fishing, will ensure its popularity as a tourist destination.
