Adare (1893), Victor Harbor, Fleurieu Peninsula Region, South Australia

The site was well-known to the indigenous people as Mootaparinga. It was occupied by a number of white settlers after 1836 before being purchased in 1891 by the Cudmore family of Wentworth as a summer retreat. The impressive mansion was built for the Cudmore family by FW Dancker. It was purchased in 1954 by the Methodist Church as a campsite and is now a conference centre.
