Warooka - Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.

This small town dates from 1876. These days it is a popular resting place on the way to various tourist destinations at the foot of Yorke Peninsula, as well as being a local service centre. For a small town it has a surprising number of fine Victorian buildings, especially as it suffered a 6.0-sized earthquake in 1902 which caused the first known deaths from earthquake in Australia ! Its elevated position gives it a pleasant and useful view over the surrounding countryside.
